POWER AT HIGH ALTITUDES

WORLD ALTITUDE RECORD
The world altitude record for aircraft of 43,976 feet was established in September. 1932, by a Bristol Pegasus Air Cooled Engine fitted in a Vickers Vespa biplane.

FIRST OVER MT EVEREST
The first flights over Mount Everest were made by the Houston-Everest Air Expedition in April 1933, using" Bristol" Pegasus Aircooled Engines fitted in Westland biplanes.
