| Dating back to at least 1931 it was in 1939 that Boscombe became famous as a testing ground for all types of aircraft to enter RAF service. QinetiQ now operate alongside RAF personnel in all types of testing and one incident of note happened in 1994 rumored to involve American `black` ops aircraft. | ||
