Established on the 28th March 1918 Digby is the oldest RAF station in existence and used as a training school.Guy Gibson and Douglas Bader were both based here for a time. In 1942 the station was handed over to the RCAF where Mosquito aircraft flew ops until the end of the war. Following a brief period as a training unit the role of the station changed in 1955 to a signals unit which is still here today.
