| Opened as an RAF fighter base in 1941 it transferred to the USAAF on the 15th June 1942.It was used as a operational training base for fighter sqns for both the 8th and 9th Air Forces.It was returned to RAF use on the 14th March 1945 and became a satellite for RAF Ternhill. Atcham was abandoned in 1946 and disposed of in 1958. | ||
