| Opened in 1941 for light bomber use the station was transferred to the USAAF in Sept 1942. Under the americans the airfield was extended for heavy bomber ops and these started in 1943. Placed under care and maintenance after the war Attlebridge was closed in 1950 and sold off during 1959-1962. | ||
