| Opened in February 1941 is was put into use by RAF fighter command until the summer of 1942 when it was handed over to the USAAF. Fighter ops continued until early 1945 when in March it was handed back to the RAF and used by Transport Command. Put into care late in 1945 the airfield was disposed of by early 1947. | ||
