| Built for and by the USAAF in 1942 it was used by medium and heavy bomber units until handed over to the RAF in October 1945 and used for food storage. In the 1960`s a RAF Bloodhound missile site was in place for a time before the airfield was abandoned and sold off by 1968. | ||
