| Built for and by the USAAF as a bomber airfield by 1943 it was used by various fighter units of the 8th Air Force until the end of the war. Transferred to the RAF on the 20th December 1945 it was maintained but never used by any flying units. By 1962 the MOD had sold off the airfield. | ||
